Types of Wedding Videos

Wedding videographers offer many different types and styles of wedding videos. It can be a bit overwhelming at first as you may not understand the purpose of each film. Here is a short guide of the types of wedding videos that I offer and which one(s) might be best for you!

Wedding Highlight Film

This one is the most popular option as it is the perfect balance between the cinematic and storytelling styles of video. Many wedding videographers in Winnipeg have this included in their packages. This film is typically between 4-6 minutes long and captures the most important parts of your day such as bride and groom preparation, the venue, the first look (if you choose to have one) and sections of the ceremony and reception. Many videographers including myself will use the vows and parts of the speeches as a backbone for the video to illustrate your story.

Ceremony Film

This video is simply a recording of the ceremony with 3-4 cameras. I use a variety of microphones and audio recording equipment to capture what was said and the music played.

Speech Film

Again, similar to the ceremony film, the speech film is a recording of each speech using 2-3 cameras and professional audio recording equipment. When I edit this film, I will fade to black after each speech and cut out the unnecessary bits that occur as the next speaker comes up to talk.

First Look Film

Like the ceremony and speech film, this video is a recording of your first look with two different angles. I will usually put a small lavalier microphone on the groom to get his reaction and the conversation between the couple.

Now, there are many other types and styles of wedding films out there, but these are the videos that I offer and I believe will provide you with the most value.
